The Grey T- shirt Weekend Pt.1

I am annoyed. The weather has failed me again. But thinking about it I live in South Wales so what did I expect?
So I was going to go out today after work but due to the weather being rubbish, no one came out. SO this is what I was going to wear before plans changed. I bought this grey loose fit tee from H+M a few weeks ago, after hunting for ages for one. I'd been stalking the shops for weeks looking for that perfect grey tee. Once I find good basic, I wear it to death, hence the title of this post.
My master plan is to see how many outfits I can make with one item, to show how much time/money you can save by having some good quality basics in your wardrobe and matching them with loads of stuff you already have. This is the first "basic challenge".
This is the first outfit of the weekend. I teamed my grey tee with a black midi tube skirt from Topshop, converse style shoes and a beige cardigan I bought last summer. In my world "midi" means maxi as I'm so short! (5ft 2). I've been wearing block colours a lot recently and tend to have a "theme" for the week. This week it was grey, blue, beige and black. I've also been wearing more basic separates and dolling them up with a pretty scarf/bag.

I have a LOT of scarves as it will be seen in future posts. I got this one in the sale 2 years ago. I love the floral pattern with the little bird, cute! The necklace was also in the sale when I was going through a precious stone phase, it's made from quartz and it's all sparkly inside.

Lets hope the weather gets better!
