Sunday Snapshot: Floral Skirt

Happy sunny Sunday! I'm planning on doing a post every Sunday where I take something that I currently love and showcasing it for you.

For the first Sunday Snapshot I just wanted to show you guys my amazing floral maxi skirt from River Island. It was a birthday present last year from my sister but I've only worn it twice! Shameful I know so I decided with the heatwave this was definitely coming out. Last year I wore it bare legged and once with black tights but as you can see it is very sheer so I felt self conscious whilst out and about. I think that's why it's stayed in my drawers for so long. I love the floral print and I think this would never go out of style. The dip hem is also quite flattering especially for vertically challenged like myself. I never buy maxi dresses/ skirts because they pool around my feet and if I bought wedges they would have to be sky high and then I would Probably trip over the fabric! The problems of short people huh?
This time I've worn it with my leggings and I feel much more safe in this. I teamed with a basic grey vest from H+M, my ever present studded sandals and this cool belt I picked up in Primark when I got paid a bargain at only £2.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday :)

Hearts & Horses

Hey lovelies! Another late night outfit post for you. This is what I wore yesterday to do a spot of afternoon shopping with my lovely boyfriend and wear my beautiful Pegasus necklace from Topshop that I bought last week when I got paid. I've spyed lots of eagle shaped chunky necklaces like these for a while but I was hoping to find something a little different so when I saw this hidden amongst the jewellery I had to have it. I love fantasy creatures like unicorns, dragons and fairies so this really suited me.
I've also been wearing this hat a lot recently. It's become my new staple along with leggings and I can mix this with lots of different outfits and styles. Maroon red is a firm favourite in my wardrobe I can assure you!
With the weather actually being summer like for once, I've been desperately tyring to wear all my "summer" clothes as much as I can to get use out of them. I bought this heart print dress from a festival stall two years ago and while it's pretty the petticoat underneath is ABSOLUTELY USELESS. It rides up all the time and has somehow snagged all up the right side so it keeps twisting its self upwards a s i walk. My only hope is to pin it down with a belt but I have the constant fear when I'm walking around the world can see my bum so I played it safe with leggings underneath just in case. We had a lovely afternoon wandering around town, stopping for coffee and then headed home with a pit stop at the chip-shop and spent the evening catching up on Eastenders. Our Friday nights are very exciting you see. We used to go out every weekend drinking when we first got to together but now we are happy to spend the evening in together with a nice meal watching TV.
I also had a massive clear out of clothes this week ready for autumn. Some shops on the high street are starting to put out their A/W ranges already which is awesome because my birthday is in a month. With a little ruthlessness and tough love I managed to rid of 6 bags of clothes yet my drawers are worryingly still full so I might have to try again when we are closer to autumn. Still proud of myself though because I am a massive hoarder. My style has definitely changes in the last year. It's become a lot simpler and I have a round palette of about 5 colours I tend to wear all the time so I can mix and match  different items a lot quicker.

Hopefully it will stay sunny for a few more days yet! Have a lovely weekend everyone!
